এইবার আমরা প্লান করেছি আমাদের বিবাহ
বার্ষিকীটা মালদ্বীপে পালন করব। তাই এবারের প্লানটা সাজিয়েছি এইভাবে যেন বিবাহ
বার্ষিকীর দিনটা একটা প্রাইভেট রিসোর্টে থাকতে পারি। যেই ভাবনা সেই কাজ। বলে রাখা
ভালো আমাদের বিবাহ বার্ষিকী কিন্তু জুলাই মাসের শেষ তারিখ আর এখন মাত্র বছর শুরু
হয়েছে। তাই এখনই প্লানটা করে ফেললে এবং কিছু বুকিং দিয়ে রাখলে অনেক কম খরচে হয়ে
যাবে।
বিদেশ ভ্রমনের প্রথমেই আসে এয়ারটিকেট
বুকিং। আর এয়ারটিকেট বুকিং দিতে গিয়ে দেখি শেয়ারট্রিপ তাদের ব্রান্ডের
মাস্টারকার্ডে ১৫% ছাড় দিচ্ছে সকল প্রকার লোকাল এয়ারলাইনসের জন্য। আর শুধু মাত্র
ইস্টার্ন ব্যাংকই এই কার্ড ইস্যু করে থাকে। আমার যেহেতু তাদের একটা ভিসা কার্ড ছিল,
আমি কাস্টমার কেয়ারে কল করে জনতে পারলাম আমি একটা শেয়ারট্রিপ ব্রান্ডের
মাস্টারকার্ড নিতে পারব ঐ লিমিট ব্যবহার করেই। সুতরাং নতুন করে কার্ড নিতে হবে না।
তাই আর দেরি না করে ২৭ জানুয়ারীতেই এপ্লাই করে দিলাম মাস্টার কার্ডের জন্য। আর অপেক্ষা করতে থাকলাম কবে কার্ড পাব আর
ফ্লাইটের টিকিটগুলো কেটে ফেলব।
একটা জিনিস বলে রাখা দরকার বাংলাদেশ
থেকে মালদ্বীপে শুধুমাত্র একটা সরাসরি ফ্লাইট পরিচালিত হয় আর সেটা পরিচালনা করে শুধুমাত্র
ইউ এস বাংলা এয়ারলাইনস। আমাদের দুই জনের জন্য যাওয়া এবং আসা বাবদ ফ্লাইটের টিকিটের
দাম দেখাচ্ছিল ৮৪০০০ টাকা । কিন্তু ১৫% ছাড়ে এটা হয়ে গেল ৭৬০০০ টাকা।
যাইহোক প্লান থেমে নেই কার্ডের
জন্য। আমরা মালদ্বীপ যাওয়ার জন্য তারিখ ঠিক করলাম ২৮ জুলাই। আর আমাদের ফ্লাইট টাইম ঠিক করলাম সকাল ৯.১৫
মিনিট। সুতরাং আমরা কমপক্ষে ৩ ঘন্টা আগে এয়ারপোর্টে যাব যেহেতু মালদ্বীপ আমাদেরকে
অন এরাইভাল ভিসা দেই অর্থাৎ আগে থেকে ভিসা নিতে হয় না। তাই একটু বেশি আগে যাওয়াই
ভালো। বাংলাদেশের ইমিগ্রেশন বলে কথা, কি না কি কাগজ চেয়ে বসে বা কি না
কি ঝামেলা করে। আমরা ৬টার দিকেই এয়ারপোর্টে পৌঁছে যাব ইনশাআল্লাহ।
ইমিগ্রেশন শেষ করে স্কাই লাউঞ্জে
কিছু সময় কাটাব আর সকালের খাবারটা খেয়ে নেব। তারপর সিকিউরিটি চেক শেষ করে প্লেনে

This time we have planned to celebrate our
wedding anniversary in Maldives. So this time I have arranged the tour in a way
that I can stay in a private resort on the day of the wedding anniversary. The action as per thought. It would be nice to say that our wedding anniversary
is the last day of July and the year has just begun. So planning now and making
some bookings will save you a lot of money.
Air ticket booking comes first when traveling abroad. And while booking air tickets, I see that Sharetrip is offering 15% discount on their branded MasterCard for all types of local airlines. And only Eastern Bank issues this card. Since I had a Visa card of theirs, I called customer care and found out I could get a ShareTrip branded MasterCard using that limit. So no need to take a new card. So I applied for master card on January 27 without delay. And I kept waiting when I will get the card and book the flight tickets.
One thing to be noted that there is only one direct flight from Bangladesh to Maldives and that is only operated by US Bangla Airlines. The return flight ticket price for two of us was BDT 84,000. But after applying 15% discount it became BDT 76,000.
However, the travel planning is kept going which is not obstructed by the card issue. We fixed the date for going to Maldives on 26th July. And fixed our flight time at 9.15 am. So we will go to the airport at least 3 hours before as Maldives gives us on arrival visa i.e. no need to get visa in advance. So it is better to go a little earlier. It may be mentioned that the immigration police of Bangladesh may ask for extra papers or making trouble. We will reach the airport around 6 am inshallah.
After completing immigration, I will spend some time in the sky lounge and have breakfast. Then I will get on the plane after finishing the security check.
